· El equipo mexicano conformado por OscarSerna y José de Jesús Rodríguez terminó empatado en 13vo lugardespués de cuatro rondas en el Omega Mission Hills World Cup de Golf con un totalde 16-bajo-par 272. La 56va edición de este evento mundial se llevoa cabo en la isla Hainan, China en el Mission Hills Golf Club. El evento contó con una bolsa de $7.5millones de dólares y consistió en equipos de dos jugadores representando 28 países que jugaron 72 hoyos enel formato stroke play. Serna y Rodríguezse mantuvieron dentro de los mejores 10 por la mayoría del evento, pero en laronda final tiraron par de campo – 72 lo que los colocó en el lugar 13vo.Por haber terminado en este lugar se adjudicaron un premio de $40,500 dólarescada uno. Serna participó en el Mayakoba Golf Classic 2011, mientras queRodríguez ya ha participado tres veces en el Único Evento de la PGA TOUR enMéxico.
· La etapa final del torneo calificatorio para el PGA TOUR mejor conocidocomo el Q-School, arranca esta semana cuando 134 profesionales compiten en el PGAWest en La Quinta, California, otorgándole a los que queden dentro de losprimeros 25 lugares la tarjeta para jugar dentro de la PGA TOUR en el 2012.Este miércoles, Oscar Serna representará a México en la etapa final delQ-School. Serna, de Leon Guanajuato, participóen el Mayakoba Golf Classic 2011. Este evento de seis rondas, será transmitidoen México por Golf Channel Latinoamérica y en Estados Unidos por GolfChannel. · The Mexican team of Oscar Sernaand Jose de Jesus Rodriguez posted a four-round total of 16-under-par 272 tofinish tied for 13th place at the Omega Mission Hills World Cup ofGolf. The 56th edition ofthis global event took place in Hainan Island, China, at the Mission Hills GolfClub. The event featured teams of twogolfers representing 28 countries in 72 holes of stroke play and a total prizepurse of $7.5 million USD. Serna andRodriguez found themselves in the top 10 for much of the event, but a finalround of even-par 72 dropped the team back to 13th place. By finishing tied for 13th place,Serna and Rodriguez each earned $40,500 USD. Serna participated in the 2011 Mayakoba Golf Classic, while Rodriguez isa three-time participant in Mexico’s Only PGA TOUR Event.
· The final stage of the PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament, knownas Q-School, kicks off this week as 134 professionals compete at PGA West in LaQuinta, Calif., with the top 25 finishers earning full playing privileges onthe PGA TOUR for 2012. Oscar Serna willbe the lone representative of Mexico at the final stage of Q-School, whichbegins Wednesday. Serna, from Leon,Mexico, participated in the 2011 Mayakoba Golf Classic.
